5 Beautiful Duas of Hazrat Musaؑ from the Quran

An individual with an average life  expectation of 75 years lives for 900 months on this earth. Of this, nonage consists of 216 months, and  utmost of the remaining months are spent working, sleeping, eating, watching television, and doing recreational conditioning.   After doing the  calculation, we don't have  important time left for what we were meant to do – pray to Allah for guidance, perform good deeds, and leave our mark as true Muslims. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can start correcting our ways and prioritizing our time towards exercising Islam.   This is exactly what we learn from the Duas of Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). They educate us not to ignore any  occasion granted to us by Allah to perform good deeds and ask Allah for mercy and guidance. rather, we must bury  failings and wrongdoings under a mountain of righteousness to be blessed in this world and the Hereafter.   Quranic Duaein of Hazrat Musa from the Holy Quran  Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) is mentioned most  constantly in the Holy Quran. The story of Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), Moses, is exceptionally inspiring; from his birth to his migration from Egypt, every time he was in grave  peril, Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)  saved him.   Then are some beautiful Quranic duaein recited by Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ).   1. Wanting to See Allah – Surah Al- A’raf  When Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) asked Allah Al- Mighty to show Himself to him, Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) narrates this incident in Surah Al- ‘ A’raf as follows   “ And when Musa arrived at Our appointed time, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, ‘ My Lord, show me( Yourself) that I may look at You. ’ So( Allah) said, “ You won't see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place,  also you'll see Me. ’ But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it  position, and Musa fell unconscious. ”   After Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) woke up, he recited the following Dua   سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ   “ Exalted are You! I've  lamented to You, and I'm the first of the religionists. ”   Quran, 7143)   Recite this Dua   To glorify Allah  To ask for his  remission  To refresh our faith  2. Accidentally Killing a Man – Surah Al- Qasas  Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) says in the Holy Quran   “ One day, he( Musa) entered the  megacity unnoticed by its people. There he  set up two men fighting one of his own people and the other of his adversaries. The man from his people called to him for help against his foe. So, Musa punched him, causing his death. Musa cried, “ This is from Satan’s  work. He's  clearly a sworn,  deceiving adversary. ”   Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ)  also recited this extremely humble Dua which Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) accepted   رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى فَٱغْفِرْ لِى فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ   رَبِّ بِمَآ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًۭا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ   “ My Lord! I've  surely wronged my soul, so forgive me. ” So, He forgave him, for He's indeed the All- Forgiving, utmost Merciful. “ My Lord! For all Your favors upon me, I'll  noway  side with the wicked. ”   Quran, 2816- 17)   Recite this Dua   For protection from adversaries and evildoers  To overcome oppression  To ask for Allah’s  remission  3. The Incident of the Golden Shin – Surah Al- A’raf  Once when Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was down, a man named Saimiri deceived and  seduced his people to make a golden Shin for  deification. This incident is  recited by Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) in Surah Al- A’raf as follows   “ In the absence of Musa, his people made from their golden jewellery an  hero of a shin that made a lowing sound. Did they not see that it could neither speak to nor guide them to the Right Path? Still, they took it as a god and were evildoers. ”   The people  latterly realized their wrongdoing and were  regretful for having gone  amiss. When Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) returned, he was furious at what his people had done   “ Upon Musa’s return to his people, completely furious and  rueful, he said, “ What an evil thing you committed in my absence! Did you want to  quicken your Lord’s torment ” also he threw down the Tablets and  seized his family by the hair, dragging him closer. Haroon  contended, “ O son of my  mama ! The people overpowered me and were about to kill me. So don't ˹humiliate me and˺ make my adversaries rejoice, nor count me among the wrongdoing people. ”   Hazrat Musa  also made this prayer to Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)   رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِأَخِى وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِى رَحْمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ   “ My Lord! Forgive me and my family! And admit us into Your mercy. You're the utmost Merciful of the merciful. ”   Quran, 7151)   Recite this Dua   To seek Allah’s  remission  To affirm His exalted status  To ask for protection from evil deeds and evildoers  4. Order to Visit Fir’aun – Surah Ta Ha  This is conceivably the most well- known Dua and incident known about Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). also, this Dua is  substantially recited by scholars and speakers before making a speech and by  scholars before studying for or giving their examinations.   While coming back from Madyan with his family, Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) saw a fire in the distance. So, leaving his family, he went to find the source. Upon reaching it, he heard a voice say   “ O Musa, I'm your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you're in the sacred  vale of Tuwa. And I've chosen you, so  hear to what's revealed( to you). Indeed, I'm Allah. There's no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. Indeed, the Hour is coming – I  nearly conceal it – so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. So don't let one forestall you from it who doesn't believe in it and follows his desire, for you(  also) would  corrupt. ”   After this  protestation and warning, Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) showed Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) two cautions to further confirm His presence and strengthen Musa’s faith he turned Hazrat Musa’s staff into a  snaking snake. also, he restored it to its normal form, and He asked Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) to draw in his hand to his side which  also came out white without any  complaint.   Eventually, Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) gave this order   “ Go to Fir’aun. Indeed, he has transgressed. ”   After this  informational and humbling experience, Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) made this Dua   رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي   “ My Lord, expand for me my  bone( with assurance), ease for me my task, and unbind the knot from my  lingo that they may understand my speech. ”   Quran, 2025- 28)   Recite this Dua   For success in any task( interview, test, examinations, etc.)  To seek Allah’s help and guidance  For  adding  wisdom  To cure stammering or other speech impediments  To ask Allah to make your tasks easier  At another place, Allah( سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ordered Hazrat Musa and his family to visit Fir’aun   “ Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has truly transgressed all bounds. ”   Upon this, Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) and his family fearfully recited this Dua, after which they were  comforted of Allah’s protection   رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ   “ Our Lord! We  sweat that he may be quick to harm us or act tyrannically. ”   Quran, 2043- 45)   Conclusion for the 5 Beautiful Duas of Hazrat Musa from the Quran  The Duas of Hazrat Musa( عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) is indeed a  memorial of Allah’s unlimited  remission and mercy. They also confirm that His love and guidance for His Prophets are immense.
